Disintegrators are specially designed to remove broken tools, like taps, drills, reamers, seized bolts, sheared bolts from the components without damaging the component or affecting the hole size. We have sold more than five hundred metal arc disintegrators.

Disintegrators work on the principle of a vibrating spindle with low voltage electric power supply creating a series of intermittent arcs. These arcs occur many times per second and disintegrate even the hardest metals.

All the cutting occurs at the tip of the electrode. The vertical vibratory movement is approximately 0.12 mm. This permits the arcs to occur many times per second and also allows the coolant to flush the burnt particles from the cut. The overcut varies depending on the cutting power selected.
